As a Vernon Engagement Photographer, I absolutely LOVE not only capturing a pre planned Engagement session but if it starts first with a secret proposal….it turns into something EPIC.
This was my second proposal this week! These guys are bringing their A game. Having a proposal captured is so incredibly sweet and a moment the couple with treasure forever.
Staying at Sparkling Hill, Riley and Meena were away from the lower mainland for a special weekend away. Little did Meena know how special it would be.
Riley was pretty convinced that no matter what we did, she would know something was up, but I truly think we surprised her.
I met them on a walking trail, pretending to ask for directions. While I was talking to them, Riley asked if I could take a photo of them with his cell phone. As soon as I got that photo, Riley dropped to one knee and I grabbed my camera (which had been hidden away in my child’s back pack). It was so special!
Riley and Meena are SO sweet together and I was so touched by their love story. They have been best friends for 21 years! They met in preschool and were instant besties. Cue the waterworks. Later in life, and still best friends, they each tried dating someone else but both knew it wasn’t right. They worked up the courage to tell each other how they felt and they have been dating ever since. That was three years ago and now they get to move into the stage of planning their beautiful wedding.
Meena had a part in designing her engagement ring but thought it wasn’t in Riley’s possession. To finally see it in person and on her finger was really emotional for both of them. Meena says she never cries but she definitely cracked a bit 😉
