As a Vernon Photographer for almost 20 years, there are certain venues and couples whose wedding I can’t wait to capture. This is one of those weddings!

If you remember Joe and Amy from their Engagement Session a few months ago, they are the kind of couple who may not love being in front of the camera but because of their connection and love for each other, you would never know it. The world disappears around them and they are truly just in each others presence. You would never know either I or Cecilia (my fabulous associate for the day) were sometimes only a few feet away holding a reflector or using a long lens.

Their day was perfection. Warm and dusty and because we are slipping into fall, it felt so cozy too. The night air was still warm enough to dance the night away and the kids attending the wedding were some of the cutest, polite and curious kids I think I have ever photographed at a wedding.

We were there to capture their full day so it’s hard to only curate a few portraits to represent their day but I always want to showcase the couple and their wedding party. For Joe, highlighting one of his trucks was also very important and I loved that we ended the portrait portion of our day on the edge of a field where their friends were having a tail gate party.
