Vernon Photographers Weddings

For those of you who saw my post on Valentines Day about the beautiful portraits we were able to create after Henry & Eva‘s latin mass wedding, here is this Vernon Photographers Weddings ceremony portraits.

For those of you unfamiliar with a Catholic Latin wedding Mass, it has two parts:

The Rite of Marriage & Ceremony

The Latin Mass

This beautiful ceremony is about an hour and a half and the bride and groom sign the marriage certificate after it is done. Many elements of a traditional wedding ceremony are present but what follows after is a beautiful testament to the couples faith. It included incense, communion (for everyone in the congregation who was Catholic), choir pieces, sung in Latin by a beautiful choir from Kelowna and of course the Priests readings and prayers. The couple was prayed over and also sprinkled with holy water.

Flash is not permitted during the service and of course I didn’t have the access to the altar so all portraits were taken from behind the bride and groom. Anyone who knows what I normally do at a wedding, this always stretches me to get extra creative with my approach so I love how this type of service really puts me through my paces.

Henry and Eva, what a beautiful day it was celebrating your love and the faith you have in each other and God. Bless you on your new journey as husband and wife.
