Photographer in Vernon

As a Photographer in Vernon for the past 20 years I was SO excited to see a new venue for my couples open its’ doors.

The Rise Golf Course has been in Vernon for a number of years but only recently did it add the extraordinary Edge Restaurant and banquet room which will be the perfect backdrop for couples seeking an incredible vista, phenomenal food and a stunning ceremony area for their big day.

When Cydney first contacted me, she mentioned they had decided to change their wedding idea from a big affair in Whistler BC to something much more intimate. And it was happening in a few weeks, on Thanksgiving weekend.

I was already booked for a family session and then maternity session that morning (the fall colours are popping up everywhere and with many families getting together for Thanksgiving it is always a perfect time for photos) so I was nervous I wouldn’t be able to accommodate their request. I called her right away and thankfully they were having their ceremony later in the day and I was able to be a part of their special day!

Light in the fall is so beautiful and so are the colours on Kalamalka Lake. Even though it was a super sunny day, with the help of Cydney’s bestie, we were able to get some stunning couples portraits before heading out to meet everyone for the ceremony on the shore of Okanagan Lake.

Finishing up our time together at the Rise, for family portraits and more of Conor and Cydney, it was truly a beautiful day. Thank you for including me in all its’ beauty!!!
