Photographers in Vernon BC

As Photographers in Vernon, we specialize in a lot of different types of portrait sessions.

Some of my favourites are weddings, family sessions, newborn portraits and Grad Portraits.

For this beautiful session, Yela was referred to me by my best friends daughter, Stella, whose Grad Portraits I did last year.  I highly encourage you to check out Stella’s beautiful session from last year too!  These Grads certainly don’t look like I did when I was 18!  And they are all so accomplished too!

Grad is such an exciting time in any students life.  It is the cumulation of many years of hard work, beautiful friendships, influential teachers and sometimes meeting a significant other. It was wonderful to have Yela’s boyfriend Brody, brother Yosho and her parents at her session too.  After all Grad is a big deal for them as well.

Yela is graduating from Pleasant Valley Secondary School in Armstrong BC and so it was only fitting for me to go to Armstrong to create this beautiful portraits and to photograph them at one of the most beautiful lakes and parks around.  Otter Lake Park.

As soon as I suggested it as a location, Yela lit up when I mentioned there is a giant willow tree beside the lake.  She said she had a willow tree in her yard when she was growing up and they have always been near and dear to her.

With so much rain lately (thankful for every drop) we were fortunate we didn’t need to use our back up date for our session.  The evening was PERFECT and I love how the light danced off the water and through the trees.
