Vernon Engagement Photography

Vernon Engagement Photography is one of my favourite sessions to head out to capture. I am always SO excited for this type of session because it is usually the first time I am going to be meeting my wedding clients in person.

With Joe and Amy, we had only spoken on the phone. Even though they live in Lavington, their work schedules are super busy and once we spoke, they knew they wanted to book with me (that truly means a lot!)

I was also super excited because they were getting married at Timber Ridge Trails, which I was at last year for my best friends’ daughters wedding. It is such a beautiful venue and Joe knows the owner so it was the perfect fit for their big day.

Meeting them at Kekuli Bay was a decision we made a few days before. Originally we wanted to photograph them at their home but the mosquitos were raging and we didn’t want to be that uncomfortable 😉 Kekuli Bay on Kalamalka Lake is always a favourite spot and it didn’t disappoint.

It was also a great night to capture their engagement portraits as Amy had just gone and gotten her makeup trial done by the incredible Hafsa who will also be doing her wedding makeup. Amy is super lucky because her sister is a hair stylist in Kelowna and so even her hair was professionally done for the session!

Amy and Joe are such a beautiful couple. Even though Joe wasn’t thrilled to be in front of the camera, his love for Amy superseded his feelings about what we were doing and I am happy to say I think I even won him over 😉 Thanks Joe for being so good about it!

I can’t wait to see the two of you in September for your wedding! It’s going to be an incredible party and celebration of your love for each other.
