As wedding photographers in the Okanagan, Kate and I are always thrilled when we get the opportunity to head to one of our favourite venues in the Monashee Mountains, Keefer Lake Lodge!
It’s a piece of heaven. The air smells better, the lake calms you and the Lodge and its staff are so welcoming.
This blog is only Part 1 as I was honoured to do a second day with this amazing couple up in the mountains on Sunday too.
Having never met Collin and Helena, the minute he introduced himself to us, I knew from his smile that today was going to be as good as they get when working a bride and groom. Then add in the scenary around the Lodge, a super photogenic wedding party, and you as a photographer WAY over shoot-meaning you take more pictures than you normally do on a wedding day 😉
Everyone made it SO easy and fun and I think it’s funny that Collin and Helena mentioned they don’t normally feel photogenic in photos. Well they sure fooled us.
Starting our day with a first look down by the lake and wildflower meadow, the colour palettes Collin and Helena chose matched everything perfectly. They couldn’t have planned any of it better and the smokey skies from some B.C. forest fires added an almost painterly look to our scenery.
This couple radiates a love for one another that was so easy to capture and we were honoured to be a part of their incredible celebration. I can’t wait to share more from our side by side adventure up into the Monashee mountains on Sunday!
