Having been wedding photographers in Vernon for over 20 years, Kate and I are always honoured when clients entrust to capture their most important day.
Emmett and Alix have one of those beautiful love stories that took them half way around the world to find. Alix from Canada, Emmett from the States. Both working as medical professionals in Ireland and they meet through a mutual friend at a pub. Does it get any more Irish than that?
For the last seven years they have travelled the world together, but they still have their home base and practices in Ireland. A few years ago, Alix’s parents settled in Predator Ridge, a beautiful golf course community in Vernon. Emmett and Alix knew for all their loved ones to be involved in their wedding, it was going to be a destination wedding for almost everyone. At least in Vernon, they had a home base.
I first met the two of them last summer as wedding plans were still being finalized but it was wonderful to meet, learn a bit more about them and create some emotive engagement portraits for them.
This past week, they tied the knot at a beautiful and romantic ceremony and reception at Predator Ridge.
Surrounded by an international cast of friends and family, their day was truly beautiful and filled with so magic.
